Crochet Make-up Brush Holder

Time for another 'Make It Monday', something quick, easy and useful.

This is a crochet project so if you not sure how to crochet get yourself over to youtube and learn the following stitches:

Slip Stitch (ss)
Chain (ch)
Double Crochet (dc)
Single Crochet (sc)
Half Double Crochet (hdc)

I have designed this project to include all the basic stitches so you can get comfortable with them all in one project.  So lets begin.

Ch 3, join to form circle

1. ch 2, 10x dc in circle, ss to join
2. ch 2, 2x dc in each stitch, ss to join
3. ch 1, *hdc, hdc, 2x hdc* Repeat between ** all the way around. ss to join
4-9. ch1, sc in each stitch around
10. ch 2, dc in each stitch around, ss to join
11-18. ch 1, sc in each stitch around
19. ch 2, 2x dc in each stitch, ss to join
20. ch2, *dc, ch 2*. Repeat between ** all the way around.  ss to join and finish off.

To really enhance the ruffle effect I weaved a piece of yarn in and out of each 2 dc in row 19 and pulled tight into a bow.

Add your brushes and you are done.

**Tip, make a bigger base and pop over an empty tin can or toilet roll tube if you have a lot of brushes and need something more sturdy, pitifully I only have 3 brushes so this works for me.

I hope that makes sense, its my first attempt at writing a crochet pattern so let me know if there is any errors.

Happy Crafting
